Description
Hand carved Limestone. 31cm high x 25cm wide.
This is my first (and so far, only) attempt at limestone carving. Done as a personal design during the soft stone module for the Jade and Hardstone carving I did in New Zealand in 2004. I probably would have done something bigger, like a full gargoyle maybe, but I wanted to be able to take it home... I have no intention of ever selling him, I love him too much.
I very much enjoyed doing this (except for the dust) and I intend to do some more limestone carving when I get around to finding some more limestone.

he just looks so happy, makes me happy :L Is he a flat piece, or is he quite like, deep? 3D? Not really sure how to say it. A sude view would be interesting Nice to see another user of limestone, its all iv used so far but im interested in trying harder stones.
