This is a piece of work I am extremely proud of. Unfortunately I'm finding it very difficult to get images that do it justice, so until I manage to find a nice studio photographer with all that special lighting equipment, who is willing to work for peanuts (I have a bag of peanuts in my pantry) this will have to do.

This is a marble bowl/dish/thing that I carved in 2004. I am very proud of it. Firstly because it is perfectly ROUND (to the naked eye anyway, and all I used was a pencil drawn outline and my eyes while I was making it. No fancy 'bowl cutting' machines) The other thing I'm proud of is the lid. which is a fitted lid which actually FITS! This bowl is one of the very few pieces that turned out exactly how I envisioned it, with no changes.

It is 10.5cm wide with the lid on it is 6cm high, the inside of the bowl is 4cm deep. The Lid is concave to a depth of 1.3cm and is also cuved on the underside. The surface design and the inside of the bowl has been lightly sandblasted. The design on the lid is a styalised Owl face, and the pattern around the side of the bowl is a styalised 'feather' design.
