Byzantine set comission

Stg Silver + Rose Quartz

This is a recent comission. I am quite pleased with the photo, so I thought I'd submit it. It's a matching necklace and earrings using Byzantine chain and Faceted rose quartz beads.
It was one of those comissions that should have been a walk in the park and instead became the 'Comission from Hell!' The original request was for faceted Garnet, but I just couldn't find any decent quality ones the right size, I hunted everywhere I could think of, spent hours travelling to various places where I'd had luck in the past and sent off emails to the most obscure places, .... but apparently the world is currently devoid of 9-11mm faceted garnet beads! I was going to bezel set some stones instead but they really wanted beads and said 'how about Rose Quartz or something green', so I found these instead, two days before the finished Item was due! So much for the 'walk in the park' comission I though it would be when I took it...

Of course, now that I don't need them anymore, I'm sure I will be seeing large faceted garnet beads everywhere I go for the next decade...
